What Do I Need To Do?

To verify your sole proprietor brand, simply send an email to support@helloshift.com with the following details by July 5, 2023:

Subject Line: Twilio OTP Verification

Hotel Name: Your hotel’s registered name

Phone Number: A personally owned US Phone Number For Text Verification

Note: You can also send us these details using the chatbot at the bottom right corner of your HelloShift homepage

Once we receive your information, we will submit it to Twilio for further verification. Soon after, you will receive a text message to the phone number you provided. The message will look just like this:

The same message will prompt you to reply with “YES” to verify your account and just like that you are done!

What is OTP Verification for Sole Proprietor Brands?

As you filled out your Twilio Profile Verification, you denoted you are a Sole Proprietor for your brand. For cases like this, Twilio will begin to require additional verification. The steps, requirements and all necessary information are detailed below:

OTP verification is a process implemented by Twilio to comply with updated registration requirements for A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10 Digit Long Code) messaging. For sole proprietor brands, additional verification is now required. To successfully register your brand you must provide additional information:

  • a U.S. or Canadian mobile phone number


To maintain the registration of your sole proprietor brand, you need to confirm your identity with Twilio via SMS using a One Time Password (OTP) verification code. This confirmation will upgrade your brand status to “Verified.” Failure to complete the OTP check by July 5, 2023, will result in filtering of SMS traffic from your sole proprietor brand(s). If the OTP check is not completed by August 31, 2023, your brand(s) will be removed.
